So I’ve just about made it to Sunday. In the past 25 days, I’ve watched a total of 7 hours of television and movies: one episode of Boardwalk Empire and 3 movies. That’s a lot less than I would have normally watched and I am over watching reality shows about gaudy women. I thought that I was watching them ironically and making fun of them, but I think knowing anything about Melissa Gorga’s life makes me dumber, episode by episode.
I want to make not watching TV a regular thing. Now that I know I don’t miss television when I don’t watch it for several days at a time, I want to keep this up. I can watch an episode or two of any good show, but I don’t want to watch TV every single night. I was doing that before, even if it was just 20 minutes. It’s a comfort thing. By making TV an activity that takes up only a small fraction of my time, I am going to become more comfortable with writing daily, reading and business planning.
I did watch the trailer for Sunday’s episode of Breaking Bad. I don’t know, does the timing seem a little off between Walt and Walt Jr. or is that just intentional discomfort? Sneak Peek Breaking Bad
